SSCP Public Complaints Procedure

SSCP aims to provide its training, clinic, events and other activities in a thoughtful, respectful and responsible way. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your contact with SSCP, we welcome the opportunity to hear about it and to respond.

Where possible, you may wish to raise your concern first with the person directly involved. If this does not feel possible, or if the matter is not resolved, please make a complaint in writing by emailing enquiries@sscp.uk or writing to:

SSCP
South Lombard
Lanteglos by Fowey
Cornwall

Please include your name, contact details, what your complaint is about, any relevant dates or correspondence, and what you would like to happen next.

Once we receive your complaint, we will acknowledge it and arrange for it to be considered by an appropriate person or committee within SSCP. We may ask you for further information before responding. We will aim to consider the complaint fairly, carefully and confidentially, and to let you know the outcome in writing.

Depending on the nature of the complaint, this may include an explanation, an apology, a proposed remedy, or changes to SSCP practice. If the complaint raises safeguarding, professional conduct, or regulatory concerns, SSCP may need to take further advice or refer the matter to an appropriate external body.

If your complaint is about the conduct of a UKCP-registered therapist, you may also be able to raise a complaint directly with UKCP. If your concern is about a trainee, training matter, clinic matter, or SSCP as an organisation, SSCP should usually be contacted in the first instance so that the appropriate route can be identified.
